Not the most exiciting game, but then again it is preseason, I thought the Blazers pretty well owned this game from the start easily dominating the play and having Bruins chasing them all night and taking far to many penelties, while the Blazers for the most part stayed out of the box, third period was a little chippy at times with a few scrums but nothing came of any of them. No Bruins really stood out for me other than Archibald who played very well and 25 Panik Bhungal who tried his best to stir things up.
As for the Blazers some impressed me and others did not so here my quick thoughts on those that played tonight
Maniago - I thought the goal was soft, not tested to much but solid
Kraus - Big kid, played hard but I think he is one season away yet
Thiessen - Got better as game went on played well with every defenseman except Bender no team work between those two
White - Looks a lot better than last year played hard tonight and it showed
Delaronde - Looked bad at times and good at times new rules lots to adjust to
Stretch - Slow start but got better through the game,
Dunstall - Good game, played hard mixed it up, good effort
Shattock - Not yet
Skrudland - What ever
Nixon - Maybe MVP this year !!
Rohac - Good speed looks like a keeper
Schmermund - Good speed I like this guy
Rowley - Smart solid defenceman, seem to read the game well
Rodgers - NOT
Bender - Played solid game tonight stayed out the box! need to play more of a team game
Dowd - Played well tonight, has he finally made the team?
Woznikoski - Lots of potential, looks like a keeper
I am sure others will see it differently but it is only one game. I really liked how the defense played tonight, kind of give hope for a positive season
