SWEET 16
In Sunday's night 4-2 victory over the Spokane Chiefs, the Silvertips had all eight 16 year old rookies in the line up. That is the most 16 year olds dressed by the Silvertips this season and in all of the WHL. All eight 16 year olds, Zach Hamill, Brady Calla, Taylor Ellington, Leland Irving, Graham Potuer, Zach Sim, Jonathan Harty and Brennan Zasitko all were drafted by the Silvertips in the 2003 WHL Bantam Draft.
SILVERTIPS SPECIAL TEAMS
The Silvertips are currently 6th in the WHL on the power play (56 for 300, 18.7%) and 1st in the WHL on the penalty kill (193 for 220, 87.7%).
