Americans Add Exhibition Contest for Sunday, September 17th
September 11, 2006KENNEWICK, WA - The Tri-City Americans are taking today off after going 1-1-0-1 in three games in the Red Lion Hotels Preseason Tournament over the weekend at Toyota Center. The club wrapped up the weekend in fine fashion with a 5-0 shutout of the Everett Silvertips on Sunday.
The Americans will return to the ice Tuesday and Wednesday at Toyota Center with practices at 10 am and again at 2:30 pm. Thursday the team will practice at 2:30 inside Toyota Center.
Tri-City then will wrap up preseason play this weekend with three contests. The club will play Friday night at 7 pm against the Spokane Chiefs in the Lilac City at Eagles Ice Arena. Saturday the teams will switch venues as the Chiefs will travel to Kennewick to take on the Americans, 7:05 pm at Toyota Center.
The Americans have added an additional preseason tilt with the Portland Winter Hawks on Sunday, September 17th with a special start time of 3:05 pm. Admission prices for this game will be a special rate of $9 for adults and $6 for youth (3-17). The price is inclusive of the Toyota Center facility fee.
