Rebels Unveil R Magazine!
Garrett Zimmeman, in charge of marketing and sales for the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club unveiled this morning the team's newest official publication - R Magazine!

"The days of Onside Magazine are now behind us. We are very excited to introduce this new publication to our sponsors & fans! We worked closely with Cat Tail Publishing over the summer to create a logo and layout for the magazine that is appealing and current."

The first issue of R Magazine was released this morning during the Rebels annual sponsors breakfast at the Black Knight Inn. The morning began with the first official introduction of the 2006-07 team and staff as well as the unveiling of the new team publication.

"R Magazine is fresh and new this year and as always, we think its one of the better if not the best program in the league. The Feature Player Collector Card will remain part of the package when fans purchase their copies of R Magazine this season, also included will be a nightly insert including the rosters and statistical information pertaining to that night's game."

R Magazine, the team's official game night program, will be updated multiple times throughout the season and includes an in depth look at the team, the players and the League.

"Our sponsors and fans are a big part of who we are in this community and we're very proud to introduce you to our team!"

The first R Magazine, produced by Cat Tail Publishing in Sylvan Lake with stories from Red Deer Rebels' play by play man Cam Moon, displays the Rebels 'R' logo in the top left corner, and will feature goaltender James Reimer (pictured left) on the cover & the story about his busy summer. Drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in June, Reimer comes to Red Deer prepared to fill the number 1 role this season.

The first issue also looks back at the NHL playoff run of former Rebels netminder and now Stanley Cup Champion, Cam Ward of the Carolina Hurricanes. Cam Moon also previews the 2006-07 Western Hockey League season and includes team forecasts and key players.
