Three T-Birds return from NHL camps
09/19/06 - Western Hockey League (WHL) Seattle Thunderbirds
Seattle, September 19, 2006 - Seattle Thunderbirds General Manager Russ Farwell today announced that three T-Birds attending NHL Training Camps have returned to Seattle.

Defenseman Scott Jackson was at the St. Louis Blues Training Camp. He was selected by the Blues in the second round, 37th overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Center Chris Durand was at the Colorado Avalanche Training Camp. He was selected by the Avalanche in the second round, 52nd overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Right wing Bud Holloway was at the Los Angeles Kings Training Camp. He was selected by the Kings in the third round, 86th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

All three players will make the trip to Prince George for the season opening back-to-back series against the Cougars. The T-Birds and Cougars play on Friday, September 22, and Saturday, September 23. Both games start at 7 p.m. and can be heard on KKNW AM 1150.

Defenseman Bretton Stamler is the only T-Bird still at a NHL training camp. He is with the Detroit Red Wings.

The T-Birds home opener is Saturday, September 30, against the Vancouver Giants at KeyArena at 7:05 p.m.

Thunderbird tickets are currently on sale for all regular 2006-07 regular season home games.
