Got home late tonight, and looking at the box score it shows that 15 year old Cass Mappin was in a fight with 19 year old tough guy Theran Yeo?!?!? Is this for real?

Rebels site has his birthday at Dec 20, 1990, which would make him 15 until December 20th. (if his DOB is accurate on the site)

My Mistake....

As far as the WHL is concerned, he is 16, but yes, according to his Birth Certificate, he is 15.

Yeo's birthday is December 18, 1987, making him 18-years old at this time.

In another thread, Devin Setoguchi is being criticized for not being willing to fight a 15-year old Brandon Sutter.

Which is it? Do you want the 15-year olds fighting or not?

All players are equal once they step on the ice in this league and are responsible for their own actions. Mappin apparently dropped the gloves and participated in the fight, as he received a 5-minute major for doing so.

I agree that all are equal on the ice... however...I believe that Mappin got a "you can't turn this down" invitation because he laid out a good hit on a teammate of Yeo. Whereas, the Sutter one was by "choice".

I heard tell that Mappin survived it quite well. LOL
