ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter the third week of the 2006-2007 regular season with a 1-3-0-0 record (1-2-0-0 at home, 0-1-0-0 on the road) and in fifth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION…KOOTENAY will play six of their next nine games on the road.

CASINO OF THE ROCKIES NIGHT: When the ICE host the KELOWNA ROCKETS on Saturday, October 7, the CASINO OF THE ROCKIES will be holding their first of two game nights this season…Fans will have the opportunity to win great prizes compliments of the CASINO OF THE ROCKIES.

DID YOU KNOW: BEN MAXWELL is tied for ninth in the League in overall scoring with seven points…MIKE BUSTO is tied for third in the WHL in scoring by Defensemen with six points and is tied for fourth in assists with six.

SCORING STREAKS: BEN MAXWELL has recorded at least one point in each of the first four games this season (3-4-7 in span)…CHAD GREENAN (1-2-3 in span) has recorded at least one point in each of his last three games.

INJURIES / TRANSACTIONS / SUSPENSIONS: PAUL MACDONALD will be out of the KOOTENAY line-up four weeks with a broken leg…JOHN NEGRIN will be out of the ICE line-up two weeks with an ankle injury…KOOTENAY reassigned Defenseman DALYN FLATT (location to be determined), Goaltender TYLER PUGH (Drayton Valley – AJHL) and Forward LIAM JEFFRIES (West side of BCHL) on Monday, October 2…The ICE acquired Forward CLAYTON BAUER from the KELOWNA ROCKETS on September 27 in exchange for goaltender DANIEL SALAMANDYK and a fifth round pick in the 2007 WHL Bantam Draft…CURTIS BILLSTEN has been suspended two games by the WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE for receiving a match penalty September 29 in LETHBRIDGE.

ONE YEAR AGO: After four games of the 2005-2006 season the ICE were 3-0-0-1.
