I would think that Moose or Pappy are the best fighters on the team.

elder fought pierre-paul lameroux, in red deer.

but yeah i thought he would be fighting more, whether there are many takers, or if he is being allowed to drop the mitts at will, either way i thought id see him being more physical

I find the Raiders are staying away from fighting altogether. When the team is getting blown out, they should be dropping the mitts and they don't, looks to me they want nothing to do with fighting this year.

Vann is doing very well in the fisticuffs dept this year, and for a rookie who's not afraid to take on anyone says a lot about his character

you have to check out Lett's face after Vann just destroyed him in calgary, check it out with other game pics at this link -

When two big boys get at it and they're both handy with the mitts, it can go either way sometimes. A lot has to do with how you get started. If the other guy kinda gets the first couple in and he keeps tossin' em it can be real difficult to get the upper hand back, especially if you get off balance a bit.
A lot of punches don't have much behind them, but some sure do if they land on the button (like the one Palazzo caught that guy with).
That fight with Letts, Vann got a couple solid ones in right at the start and just kept going. Letts was trying hard to come back, but it's tough when it doesn't start well. Looks pretty nasty in the picture, but these guys shake it off pretty quick, I think. Ya win some, you lose some! Most of them wear the scars proudly....
Vann didn't fare as well with Lynch for the same reason (bad start), but that's sure not going to stop him from trying! :thumb:

Drop em' eh

HOLY CRAP!! That looks BAD!! Good pictures by Fletcher, i used the prev & next to look at the other game pictures there. Thats pretty cool.

hey was'nt there a thread at the beginning of the season about elder being the next heavyweight? Whats happening with him, has he injured something that is stopping him from stepping up? Gauthier has certainly stepped up.

gauthier hands down wins that one. but i love watching doucet start a fight or get in one in the odd chance it happens. he gets right up in the other players face and beaks them so hard...then if punches are thrown he's pretty good at it...and then after when the ref's are escorting them off...douce is still out there beaking it's hilarious. i love it.

I like the waay Palazzo sticks up for his team mates

ya i like that too...but sometimes it will come back and bite him in the butt and he'll lose...bad!

I would say Dave Manson is the toughest player on the Raiders Hockey Club! HAHAHA Hey he's still on the team!
