The boys are first in the league in Goals for,and second in Goals against.
This is signifigant because last season all the top teams had a much lower GA than the other teams.Keep your eyes on the GA stat throughout the season,its quite interesting. :thumb:

After eight games...

Giants Total Goal For/Goals Against
LY 2005-2006: 25 / 17 +8
TY 2006-2007: 41 / 11 +30

Giants Average For/Goals Against
LY 2005-2006: 3.13 / 2.13 +1.00
TY 2006-2007: 5.13 / 1.38 +3.75 :thumb:

Giants Average Shots For/Shots Against
LY 2005-2006: 35 / 19 +16
TY 2006-2007: 38 / 18 +20

Pretty impressive so far. Last year after eight games the G-men were 4-3-0-1 with losses to the Rockets (Shootout), Raiders, and Cougars (twice). :spineyes:

That said the 39 goals for is still impressive after eight games. Part of it is the weak teams in the Western Conference - Portland and Chilliwack (haven't even met Kelowna or Kamloops yet) and the skill level and confidence of the Giants' forwards. The combination is likely going to result in the Giants scoring 300 plus goals this season.
