Has anyone watched a New West Whalers game yet?
I'm kind of curious to see if this flies.

I'd be interested to know how many flies, er people attend the games. Sundays at 2:15 isn't exactly my idea of prime hockey time. :rolleyes:

I was at the home opener, a couple weeks back.

About 800 people would be my guess. Hockey was nowhere near the WHL level. At least 2 teirs below the WHL skill level would be my guess.

I did however LOVE being at Queens Park Arena, kind of wish that the Giants played in an arena like that, filled to capacity, 3500, it would rock.

But it just doesnt have the infrastructre (read concessions etc) for that big a crowd.

PS, I only plan on going if they play "Brass Bonanza" after the goals. ;)

I'm also planning to watch a couple UBC games as they are travelling around homeless these days and play a couple at Minoru rink.

FYI,the Giants vs Tigers is on Shaw that Friday,and the boys play in Cowtown on the Saturday.
I guess a person could record the televised game,but.... :spineyes:

I am the proud owner (as of today) of a TV tuner card and a new 250GB HDD. PC PVR my friend :thumb: Going to record all the Shaw games the Giants play.

Tape the game, cheer Bartley, Seibel and May on in person. I live a short walk to Minoru Arena so I can't pass that up.
