Philadelphia GM Bobby Clarke has resigned and coach
Ken Hitchcock was fired today as the Flyers were off
to their worst start ever.

Clarke played at Flin Flon in the late 60's. Hitchcock
was a former Blazer coach.

Yeah, it was pretty obvious that Clarke was given the option to resign rather than have it announced he was fired. Not remotely surprising. When you look at the $9 million he invested in three slugs on defense it is painfully obvious he has no clue how to operate under the new rules or in a cap system.

Also there was no real way for him to fix his team, at least on the trade front--as he has pretty much isolated himself from the other NHL teams after he doubled the price tag on every $600k player in the league.

Ya it was Clark's time to leave cause he isn't adapting to the new NHL plus i think that the Flyers need a change and i never thought that Hitchcock was the good person for coach but that IMO. they need to get of to a good start and maybe have a chance to redeem themselfs and make a run for the playoffs or start off fresh and get some players that will help out the team for the new NHL
