The WHEAT KINGS will be hoping to extend their longest win streak of
the season while at the same time, take over sole possession of top spot
in the Western Hockey League's Eastern Division tonight when they
continue a 4-game home stand against the visiting MOOSE JAW WARRIORS.BRANDON
won it's seventh straight game Saturday, blasting the PRINCE ALBERT
RAIDERS 6-1 in front of 4,200 fans at the Keystone Centre.ERIC FEHR, with
his league leading 44th and 45th goals of the season, RYAN STONE,
STEVEN LATER, TIM KONSORADA and DEREK LEBLANC scored for the WHEAT KINGS,
who pulled even with SASKATOON atop the Division thanks to the BLADES 6-3
loss to the MEDICINE HAT TIGERS.SASKATOON plays in CALGARY today.Last
win's completed a home and home series sweep of the RAIDERS as BRANDON
skated to a 4-0 victory Wednesday night at the Communiplex.The WHEAT
KINGS, who have scored 24 goals in their last four games, enter tonight's
game with a record of 33-19-5-1, good for 72 points.Winners of nine of
their last ten, the WHEATS are 19-7-1-1 at home.they're 14-12-4 on the
road.BRANDON closes out this home stand this week with games Wednesday
night in Winnipeg and Friday night at the Keystone against the REGINA
PATS.
