Cody Franson Named HUSKY WHL Player Of The Month

CALGARY, AB - The Western Hockey League today announced that Cody Franson of the Vancouver Giants has been named the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for September / October.
The 19-year-old defenceman from Sicamous, BC recorded six goals and 22 points in 16 games to begin the 2006-07 WHL season. Franson helped lead the Giants to a league best 15-0-1-0 record.
Franson, a third round draft pick of the Nashville Predators in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, currently leads all WHL defencemen in scoring with 22 points. Franson also leads all defencemen in assists with 16 and plus minus at +13. Franson has also scored 4 powerplay goals.
His accomplishments make Cody Franson a deserving choice as the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for September / October.
