The Calgary Hitmen (12-6-0-1) welcome Central Division rivals the Lethbridge Hurricanes (7-12-2-1) in one of five Western Hockey League match-ups on Wednesday, November 8th.

Wednesday night's contest between the Hitmen and Hurricanes can be seen throughout western Canada on SHAW (7:00 p.m., MT).

The Hitmen are coming off a 3-2 shootout win over Vancouver on Saturday night for their sixth straight victory, and currently sit fourth in the Central Division. Calgary has outscored its opposition by a 29-9 margin in the last six games.

The Hurricanes are coming off Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to Vancouver, snapping a two-game win streak, and currently trail the Hitmen by eight points for fourth place in the Central Division. The 'Canes are 2-7-1-1 on the road so far this season.

It's the fourth meeting of the season between the division rivals. Calgary won all three previous encounters with Lethbridge this season.

Elsewhere on Wednesday, the Everett Silvertips (14-1-0-1) will look for their 10th straight win as they pay a visit to the Brandon Wheat Kings (10-7-0-2).

The Silvertips - tops in the U.S. Division - set a new franchise record with their ninth straight win with Tuesday's 3-1 victory in Moose Jaw. Zach Hamill (9g-15a) has recorded at least one point in all 16 of Everett's games this season.

The Wheat Kings, currently first in the East Division, are coming off a 5-2 loss in Red Deer on Friday night and are 2-3 in their last five outings. The Wheat Kings, who are averaging 4.05 goals per game this season, boast five players with 21 or more points this season.

It's the first and only meeting of the season between the 'Tips and Wheat Kings. Everett won last season's lone meeting versus Brandon.

The Kamloops Blazers (11-4-1-1) host the Red Deer Rebels (12-5-2-1) on Wednesday night.

The Blazers, currently in second place in the B.C. Division, are coming off a 3-2 win in Chilliwack on Saturday for their fourth straight victory. Reid Jorgensen has scored two goals in each of his last three games.

The Rebels are coming off Tuesday's 3-0 defeat in Prince George for their second straight setback, and currently sit second in the Central Division. Red Deer is 5-4 on enemy ice this season.

It's the second meeting of the season between the Rebels and Blazers. The Rebels managed a 6-3 win over Kamloops in Red Deer on October 14th.

The Kelowna Rockets (5-11-0-2) welcome the Spokane Chiefs (8-8-3-0) on Wednesday night.

The Rockets defeated Prince George 4-2 on Saturday to snap a five-game losing streak, and currently sit tied with Chilliwack for fourth place in the B.C. Division. Kelowna is 4-3-0-2 on home ice this season.

The Chiefs, currently third in the U.S. Division, are coming off Tuesday's 5-2 win in Portland for their third victory in their last four outings. Drayson Bowman has scored five goals in his last four games.

It's the third meeting of the season between the Rockets and Chiefs. Spokane won both previous meetings with Kelowna this season.

In other Wednesday WHL action, the Medicine Hat Tigers (14-5-1-0) welcome the Prince Albert Raiders (6-9-2-0).

The Tigers and coming off Saturday's 5-4 win over Swift Current, snapping a three-game losing skid, and currently one point ahead of Red Deer for the Central Division lead. Kris Russell ranks second among all WHL defensemen with eight goals this season.

The Raiders, currently fourth in the East Division, are coming off Sunday's 6-3 loss to Kootenay for their fourth straight setback. The Raiders have allowed 23 goals on their current four-game losing skid.

It's the second meeting of the season between the Raiders and Tigers. Medicine Hat pulled off a 3-2 overtime win in Prince Albert on October 1st in the first meeting.
