Matt Keetley named the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week
11/14/06 - Western Hockey League (WHL)

Toronto - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Matt Keetley of the Medicine Hat Tigers is the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week after posting a 4-0-0-0 record with two shutouts, a 1.22 goals against average and a .932 save percentage in four starts last week.


Keetley made 20 saves in a 4-3 shootout win over the Prince Albert Raiders on November 8. He followed up with 15 saves in a 4-0 win over the Regina Pats on November 10. The 20-year-old from Medicine Hat turned aside 19 shots for his second consecutive shutout, backing the Tigers to a 3-0 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings on November 11 and finished the week with 15 saves in a

6-2 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on November 12.


Trevor Cann of the Peterborough Petes was the OHL nominee after posting a 3-0-0-0 record with a 2.33 goals against average and .940 save percentage and Ondrej Pavelec was the QMJHL's nominee after winning both of his starts last week with a 1.50 goals against average and .957 save percentage.


Each week the CHL recognizes the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week and will present the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Year Award to the CHL's top netminder at the conclusion of the 2006-07 season.
