Everett passed us - deservedly so - after winning 11 straight.

January 19th can't come quick enough.

Without looking at the schedule, I'd guess that's the next time the Silvertips are in town...

Yep but the 19th is the first time the two teams will have the potential to dress their full rosters, as the Games on the 15/16th of December will have both teams short their key players at the WJC try-outs.

Kind of lousy scheduling if you ask me.

Yes, January 19th is the second home-and-home between the two teams and the first time both rosters will be complete.

The WHL can't be expected to take into consideration the World Juniors when it comes to scheduling potential matchups so as not to accidentally favor one team or another.

I thought it might be the date of one of the bus trips down to Everett :thumb: :D

I agree with that, but what I find strange is the simple fact that the Giants will have played Seattle 6 times before we have played Everett even once. As a side note our season series with the Thunderbirds will be over before we will have played the Tips once this year.

What I also wonder is why the 2 teams that met in the western conference finals has to wait until the mid-point of the season, games #35/#36 for the Giants, to finally renew their rivalry.

I just think that is poor scheduling on the leagues part.
