Nelson Named Volunteer of the Month
NOV 17 - At Wednesday night's home game versus the Brandon Wheat Kings, Broncos 18 year old forward Levi Nelson was named the Prairie Post Volunteer of the Month for the month of October.

So far this season the majority of the forward's volunteer time has been committed to elementary schools in the area. By spending a morning at St. Patrick's Separate School, Levi was able to interact with the students by answering their questions, taking part in gym activities and story time.

October also included Levi's first of several visits to the elementary school in Waldeck. Taking over from longtime fixture and Bronco graduate Luke Hunter at the school, Levi is sure to be kept busy assisting with the teaching staff and working with the students.

In all, the second year veteran and Boston Bruins' draft pick volunteered six hours of his time while playing hockey - including the BC road trip, practicing and attending classes at the Cypress Hills College.
The Prairie Post Volunteer of the Month will take place throughout the entire 2006/07 season. A Broncos player who demonstrats outstanding community involvement during the designated month will be rewarded with the honour.
