Tough Weekend Slumps Broncos
NOV 20 - The Swift Current Broncos played 2 games this weekend against the best teams in the Central Division. On Friday night, the Broncos were in Medicine Hat to take on the Tigers while they travelled to Kootenay on Saturday for a tilt with the Ice.

Levi Nelson was the only goal scorer for the Broncos in a 4-1 loss against the Tigers on Friday while Kyle Moir took the loss in goal. The Broncos managed to outshoot the Tigers 34-29 in the contest, however, it would not be enough as the Tigers power play was 2 for 5 on the night.

The club would find some offense on Saturday night scoring 3 goals, however, a 2nd period outburst by the Ice saw them score 3 goals in 3 minutes, leading them to a 7-3 victory. Daniel Rakos added to his team leading 8 goals with his 9th, while Dale Weise and Phil Gervais also scored for the Broncos, who's power play failed to score in the game for the 8th time this season.

The weekend marked the first time the Broncos recorded 30 or more shots in consecutive games since October 21-27. The Broncos now sit 2nd in the Eastern Division, trailing Brandon by 3 points while they are ahead off 3rd place Regina, who have three games in hand, by just 1 point.

The Broncos next home game goes this Wednesday night when they take on the Portland Winter Hawks for the only meeting between the 2 teams this season. Game time goes at 7:30pm while ticket are available at the Broncos Ticket Office or by calling the Broncos Ticket Hotline at 773-1509.
