Hockey Canada confirms their policy that Brule not welcome on the Canadian Juniors

yup_ you don't show up for summer tryout-- you don't get a shot -- that's fair considering its all up-front -- so why wouldn't Brule have just gone there-- trying out with at that calibre would be as good a workout as working out on his own.

Never really understood the logic behind it.

The Blue Jackets may have told him that they would not be clearing him to go to the tournament, and not to bother going to the summer evaluation camp.
