I have to say that I am very surprised that only Alzner got selected to the Canadian camp. I thought Brodie would be invited for sure. Hopefully Karl can make us all proud and make the team and contribute each game.

Lets not forget that both Euros will be gone as well, good luck to Freddie and Figren.

I was quite surprised Dupont was left off the team too. I think he is one of the top 5 forwards in the league this year, big strong kid. He'll be playing pro real soon.

Karl had a great game today vs the Fins. According to sportsnet, he had a goal and 2 assists.

Islanders can't be too excited, Figren didn't crack the Swedish final roster for the tournament. Just turned on the Czech-Swedish game and Freddy made a nice play to setup the 2nd Sweden goal.
