I don't know about Funk being back before the weekend or for the weekend or before christmas for that matter. From an inside source he is hurting pretty bad and is out for quite sometime from what I have heard. The star phoenix confirmed that today in saying that he may be out for the season. That would be a huge blow to this team and to Ryan's career. I am more concerned with Macauley at this point with an irregular heartbeat. That's a potentially career ending problem. Hope the best for these guys.

Wow an irregular heartbeat is a very serious thing and can have a person hospitalized(was that why he was scratched on Saturday?) the Blades roster is already very depleated and lossing both MacAulay and Funk for long periods of time could be bad. I hope both of them can fully recover.

They had a practice and then a team meeting and after the team meeting Macauley still had a shortage of breath. They took him to a doctor and found out it was an irregular heartbeat. They are waiting to get him into a speacialist. That looks like it will happen just before christmas. Honestly and I am sad to say but I don't expect to see him back on this ice this season, maybe ever depending on the severity of it. To bad as he appeared to be turning a corner abit with his play.

It is not a groin tear that he has. In fact they aren't sure at all. They said he went to practice one day and it just started to hurt in his sternum area. They thought possibly hernia but who knows. Anyways, they are saying it would be no surprise if he missed the entire season. Macauley they are still waiting for the specialist.
