Willie to joing Dallas Stars coaching staff

ShareMedicine Hat Tigers coach and GM Willie Desjardins, who led Canada to a silver medal at the 2010 World Junior Championship, reportedly is joining the Dallas Stars as an associate coach.

TSN says the announcement will be made Tuesday.

Coach Marc Crawford's staff in Dallas already includes assistant coaches Charlie Huddy, Stu Barnes and Andy Moog, as well as goaltending coach Mike Valley.

if there was another coach in the whl that had the same intensity as willie i'd like to see it. hay in vancouver, molleken in saskatoon, and mccrimmon in brandon would all be close, but willie was just a notch above in intensity.

his leaving is a big blow to the tigers. he had a lot of pull within the league.

A worst blow is them promoting that hack McEwen as GM.
