2021 Season Discussion

I'm fine with staying status quo for this trade deadline. Yes another reliable/consistent D man would have been nice to gain, but not at the cost Wpg gave for Tanner Brown. Which would have been the type of player we would have needed.

Those lines don't look too bad Dan. Throw in a Eastyn Mannix (D) as i think he will fight for that 7/8th spot. Unfortunately Turner could be the odd man out. If Busygin doesn't come over then that would be a moot point.

I don't think Chiasson is even in Brandon. Which provides some insight as to where he is at with his recovery.

Good read for Brandonites/Wheatking fans. Was such a hard decision for crim to sell the wheaties that he had some sleepless nights.

That was a very good read. The majority of Fans don't see this side of owning a Team let alone a business. Thx for sharing. I've never heard about this BDN.MB site.

Darryl Wolski runs the page. It was interesting to hear that crim is still working for the team as a consultant for the first 3 years of jacobsens ownership.

Boy do the MJ Warriors have two really high end young guys. Yager is 16 and Firkus is 17 ( was a 4th round bantam pick)and both have more than 20 goals. Add in Alarie, Mateychuck, Korszack and Hunt and it’s not hard to see that this team is on a real roll. So is Saskatoon. The WK will need to win some games now or fall far behind these two teams. MJ is taking it to Edmonton tonight. The WK have games in hand on both teams but you still need to win some of them. They play Saskatoon back to back in Saskatoon this weekend and you would think we would need at least a split in these two games.

Jake Chiasson now listed as week-to-week on the WHL weekly report. He was previously listed as month-to-month.

Yeah I see Edmonton got hammered 8-1. haha.... That's a positive step for Chiasson's return. I assume he is or will be in Brandon now.

I selfishly want the wheaties to remain in the 6th seed and play the likely 3rd seed red deer in the first round so I can catch the games out here. I think it would be a great series that would go 7 games. Plus, as you just mentioned the blades and warriors are hot.

I guess we will see what these boys are made of tonight. Been 12 days since their last game and not much skating over the past few days due to being shut down due to COVID. They should hit the ice hard as it's been awhile and no once knows from day to day who gets shut down. yikes
