    Default Well Deserved Loss

Giants gave the Blazers a well deserved loss,
Blazers played ok in the first period, coming out down by one goal, but one lazy penalty and another stupid penalty by Ellerby and Stretch at the begining of the second was all the Giants needed to go on to a well deserved
    win,
Blazers have been in a dream world for the last couple of weeks, with this idea of only having to play maybe one good period a game and that will be enough to win, maybe the beating they recieved by the Giants will be enough to wake them up, and get them back to playing as a team, individually they are not very good, and will not last long come playoff time.

The Blazers got their formula backwards tonight. It always seems that they are hanging on in the first half then turn it on in the second half.

Totally backwards last night. And they did what the Giants have been doing. Taking too many penalties that leave you scratching your head. The 2 minors called at the same time was the height of that. I was impressed that:

    A) Herman saw both of them (not that the 2nd hold on the arm wasn't clear as day)
    and
    B) Had the stones to call both

Hay has been having way more competative practices after getting shutout in Kelowna. Looks like it is paying off.

Yup. Exactly what we saw last time they were here in PG. Two big "come from behinds" and forced OT.
They are always dangerous and had proven they can come back if you give them even the remotest of chances.
The Blazers are the real deal IMO and I would expect a different outcome the next time the Giants and Blazers meet. Fans in both cities must be enjoying some fantastic games between these 2 rivals.

Both teams lost players in the game, the big injury to the Giants Hunt and the Blazers lost Rodger for about 4 to 6 weeks with a seperated shoulder.

Well you could tell he was hurt after the line brawl, but I figured it was a hand injury not a shoulder.

How did he manage to separate his shoulder in that fight?

    Non-fighter + chuckin' haymakers = separated shoulder

First one was iffy. I think he figured the Blazers were "due" for one, then he had to call the second one. If it was possible at that point to take back the first one, he would've.

Blazers simply weren't in the Giants league last night. Hopefully they can get it together for their next meeting. Those 5 straight wins against the Giants won't mean a thing if we can't be them when it counts.
