    Default Tigers Clinch Division

Kootenay lost tonight, and the tigers beat the rebels in overtime.
For the 4th straight year, The Medicine Hat Tigers have clinched the eastern division regular season.

    Woot Woot.

Of course it means nothing if we fall in the playoffs, but gratz to the boys on thier hard work over the season. 4 more games to tune-up for the playoffs, then the fun really begins. Heres to a long succesfull playoff run.

Tonight Daine Todd played in his first game back since injuring his shoulder. I noticed there was a large chunk of time where he didn't play in the second period, but came back near the end.

It's not certain yet, but its looking more and more like the Rebels will be our first round opponent.

Tigers next home game will be televised by sportsnet, against lethbridge

Heh, honestly i dont think theres an answer to that question.

Calgary and Medicine hat are always close games, the last 3 years most games have been decided by a goal or two. Calgary has good goaltending, and some forwards who can shoot the puck, along with speed. They match up well against us

Red Deer always plays us tough, they finish thier checks and step up thier game a notch whenever we play them. Their really good defensively, so you gotta make the most out of your pp situations.

Lethbridge is a tough team as well, they can match our speed and when their playing 100% with second efforts.

I think were 6-1-0-1 against red deer so far
5-3-0-0 against lethbridge 2 games to go
    5-3-0-0 against calgary

Going with season records, we've done pretty well against red deer, but in a 7 game series they could very well split the first 2 games, then win both in thier home barn, and suddenly your down 3-1.

All 3 teams play a different style, but it'll be a tough battle no matter who we get. Our guys will have to come prepared, and be ready for a battle royal no matter who we face.
