    Default Season Ticket Prices Set

Oil Kings Season Seats On Sale Now!

Season Seats for the Oil Kings inaugural 2007-2008 Season are available now.

The Oil Kings will play 36 games at Rexall Place, also home to the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League. Oil Kings Hockey will provide an opportunity for fans to watch the next generation of NHL stars develop right before their eyes. For families, the Oil Kings will also provide a fun and affordable night out for all ages.

With just over six months to go until the first puck drop of the 2007/2008 Western Hockey League Season, the franchise is already off to a great start. The team’s first ticket offering of 1200 premium seats, the Founders Club, is fully subscribed. The initial response to Oil Kings Season Seats has also been strong, and fans are encouraged to purchase their seasons seats well in advance of the start of the 2007/2008 season. Oil Kings Season Seats will average between $16.64 and $22.19 per game, and only be available in the lower bowl of Rexall Place.

In addition, the Oil Kings have already landed a major Canadian Hockey League Event. The Home Hardware Top Prospects Game will be held at Rexall Place next January. This event features the top NHL draft eligible prospects. Former Oilers to play in the game include Ales Hemsky, Joffrey Lupul, Jarret Stoll, and Raffi Torres. The only way to secure seats for the Home Hardware Top Prospects Game is to purchase Oil Kings Season Seats.

Oil Kings Season Seats are available online at www.oilkings.ca

$799 for a lower bowl centre ticket is ridiculous. Moreso when there appears to be no discount for kids or seniors. The Oilers are very obviously looking at the Oil Kings as a cash cow.

compare that to chilliwack as a first year team. Their adult tix were 459$. Of course Edmonton is a different market. But $800 is insane, do they have a financing plan in place? Cripes.

Chilliwack had a payment plan, so expect Edmonton to do the same.

Good god! What the hell do you get with the $23 dollar seats? Does someone run to the beer stand for you?

So that is the STH price...what are the single game tixs going to cost?

I wrote a few e-mails to the team saying how insane that was. More for my own satisfaction than anything. I still can't get over that though. 800 bucks. I was trying to track down oilers season ticket prices. Couldn't find them...what do they run?

For last season, the cheapest seats in Rexall (300s) were $1170 +tax for the Oilers. And that was a huge jump over 2005-06.

As another comparison, $799 is more than I paid for my Flames season tickets in the 300s for this season - though that will change for next year.
