GRABNER DEBUTS IN MANITOBA

Michael Grabner had a goal and an assist for the Manitoba Moose, the Vancouver Canucks American Hockey League affiliate, on Saturday in their 4-2 loss to the Toronto Marlies. Grabner played in two games over the weekend and has been added to the Moose’s playoff roster. The 19-year-old was the Canucks first round selection, 14th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
Grabner led the Chiefs in goals scored for the second year in a row totaling a career high 39 in 55 games. The Villach, Austria native was the only Chief on the roster to average a point a game by adding 16 assists for 55 points. Grabner also had five hat-tricks this year. With 88 career goals, including 75 the past two seasons, Grabner moved into 19th on the franchise’s all-time goals scored list. Grabner played 180 career games in Spokane.
