Americans Fans Now Have 'Home Away From Home'

KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans' Sr. Vice President of Business Operations Brian Sandy announced today that the team has finalized an agreement with Kimo's Sports Café and R.F. McDougall's to become the team's official "Home Away from Home" for the upcoming 2007-2008 season.
Through the technology available from the Western Hockey League's internet web-casting system, Kimo's will broadcast all 36 of the Tri-City Americans' road games this season. As well, through their partnership with the Americans, Kimo's will also be hosting a pre-game party before every Americans Saturday night home game this season. The parties will start at 4:00 PM and feature nightly food and beverage specials.
"We are thrilled to bring Kimo's on board," said Sandy. "Although there is no replacing a game night at the rink...when the team is on the road, there is no better place for Americans fans to gather together locally and enjoy the game."
This weekend, fans will have three opportunities to enjoy the Americans' 'Home Away from Home.' On Friday, September 21, the Americans kick-off their 20th season against the defending U.S. Division Champion Everett Silvertips. Game time is 7:35 PM. Then, on Saturday, September 22, Tri-City heads northeast to Kelowna as they face-off against the Rockets. Game time is 7:00 PM. Finally, on Sunday, September 22, the Americans and the Chilliwack Bruins renew their rivalry at 5:00 PM.
