"Meanwhile, forward Chris Inglis, the 19-year-old who was acquired in June from the Tri-City Americans for depth defenceman Colin Frederickson, has yet to make an appearance at camp due to injuries sustained in what the Hurricanes are calling a street fight in Calgary.
General manager Roy Stasiuk said the incident happened two weeks prior to training camp and that Inglis was left with severe head injuries that required hospitalization and the inducing of a coma for two days to ease swelling on the brain.
Inglis, a Calgary native, has since been released from hospital but will require a long recuperation period. The best-case scenario for his return, said Stasiuk, is by Christmas but he warns the injuries could prevent Inglis from playing at all this season."
