Hooking slows the game down in the Central is it the same all over the DUB. Next year will be great if they go with some of the new rule changes like touch up off side. and smaller pads ? unsure of that one

Part of the problem is the refs do not call hooking when they see it. If the game were called consistantly by the book, I think it would take all of three weeks for everyone to fall in line and play the game the way it was supposed to be played. But thats the trick. Call it consistantly. There is no way any league could ever get all their refs to do something as basic as that.
I understand this is a rebuilding year, but come on boys!!
That's the problem Sput, from the NHL down there is no consistancy. How many times did the NHL crack down on something and then slack off. Look at Brett Hull's goal to win the Stanley Cup, it shouldn't of happen!

The fans are a big, big part of that problem though. Everybody wants to see a crackdown, but only on the other team. Fans, coaches and players all start to whine when their team is facing the wrath of the zebra, and after enough whining, the league ultimately relents.Originally Posted by Jovorock
