4600 people at an average of $26 is better for the franchise than 6400 at an average of $18.

The Oilers set the prices to maximize revenue.

There is also the fact that Edmonton (and Calgary) plays in a major league arena. It costs far, far more to open up a 17-20,000 seat building than it does a 5000 seat building. One of the costs of living in a major city.

Edit: Should also mention that the Oil Kings are averaging 5162 through six home games, good enough for 7th in the WHL.

Even though Lethbridge was the cheapest the service was the "nazi"est. Very unaccomadating for seat choice and the ushers play more of a 'big brother" role than anything. They are like walmart greeters. Acting like wolves in sheeps clothing. Just my two pennies.

you can avoid paying $3 in Red Deer if you park in the west parking lot instead.

Nothing to bite Bocephus and no BS. $6.25 a game if you buy season tickets

    http://www.wheatkings.com/page.aspx?page_id=58

Kelly has his masters in business so he must know what he is doing. After lowering his season ticket price last year he raised his average attendance by 33% to over 4000. He has a 4 tier price structure with the most expensive seat $15, ( $12 for seniors and 19 - 30 year old - Gen X, $10 youth - 13 to 18, and $6 a game for children.).

My son and I have season tickets that cost $375 total.

Parking at the Keystone is free.

Don't forget that Kelly McCrimmon owns the Brandon Wheatkings and this team, AFAIK is his sole source of income. If he can make money from the most isolated team in the WHL, at these prices....

I guess that is why people feel that $33 for a ticket to junior hockey is way too expensive.

Wow, I would buy season tix for that price. When I moved to the Bridge 11 years ago the price was $9. Today it is $19. Translation:Cash cow for the city owned team.

You'd figure fans would be great full here, but we still don't sellout, rare. Last sellout I remember is against Calgary in Game 7 back in 04, best atmosphere of a hockey game I've ever been too. And, vs Saskatoon a few years back for top spot in the division with 2 games left to go, beat them 7-1.

I bought my Pats season tickets at a student price of $130.
