    Default Habscheid Back Coaching

Well sort of. Just a little update on what your former coach is up to. He has more or less decided to take a year off. He has moved into Swift Current so his kids are closer for school. Marc's son Zach was drafted by the Broncos this past bantam draft and with the move back to Swift Current, zach tried out for and landed a spot on The Home Hardware Legionnaires who are playing in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA league. With Marc taking the year off ( unless some big offer comes up that he can't refuse ) he has been helping at practice and running some drills with his sons Midget AAA team. Now can you imagine how thrilled these kids are when a guy running the drills and helping out with the team is the former coach of Team Canada and a 15 year ex. N.H.L. player who also had one of the most impressive records coaching in the W.H.L.? They are awe struck and Marc is doing this all voluntarily and is having fun doing it. He is relaxed and enjoying being home.

I talked to Marc about that and he seems happy just helping out. I think with his son Zach on the team he doesn't want to add any pressure on his son and being accused of showing favourtism with his son if he did step behind the bench. Just having him at practices and helping out where need be is an awesome thing for a guy with his background.
