Chilliwack BC: The Chilliwack Bruins have traded defenseman Matt McCue (88) to the Brandon Wheat Kings in return for the Wheat Kings 4th Round Draft Pick in 2009.

McCue, a native of Cochrane, AB, joined the Bruins midway through last season and has played a total of 74 games for the Bruins, scoring 2 goals and nine assists and amassing 182 PIM.

"With the abundance of young defense on our club, the Bruins have placed an importance on making sure that these younger players get the ice time needed to develop," comments Bruins GM Darrell May. "We would like to thank Matt for all of his contributions, both on and off the ice, and wish him success with his new team in Brandon."

With now Erb, McCue, Clark and Lowery as 88 on the team who do you think they would trade away as a overage player next year?

It probably depends on who has the better second half, we havent really seen McCue since he's played out West but ironically enough he was involved in the Lenoski deal when Chilliwack sent him to Spokane, Spokane sent Chilliwack McCue.

Bartek would also be an OA next season.
I would keep Clark, Lowry and Erb
Never argue with idiots, they just drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

all u guys are getting is a big tough guy that can fight. very often he takes himself outtta the play to throw the big hit and misses, resulting on odd man rushes for the opposition, get used to that and giveaways when hes trying to clear the zone.

ps. -- just to give u an idea of what chilliwack fans thought of him. his nickname is misscue.

If he can bring the tough guy mentality, with the size hes got...he'll be the opposite of what Aulie is.

That is why the Wheat Kings got him - they needed a physical prescense
on defense and that will be his job to play the tough guy - along with Yeo - and stick up for the younger, smaller guys up front. Wouldn't be surpised to see him take the occasional shift up front when needed.
