Pats vs Blades

In a game that had many story lines that one could go down, one in particular stood out.

Mike Reich. I can't say I loved him while he was here, but he is good at what he does (an agitator). He seems like the type of kid that likes to put on a show for whatever reason. I thought he took it a bit too far last night in his fight with Garrett Mitchell. Enough is enough when you are down on the ice. It will be interesting to see what suspsensions will come out of it all. On our end, likely Teubert. The Pats played a little better than 3 games this weekend with the OT, but Teubert played about two periods. I definitely can't blame him for last night though. He did look up at Hunt before going to help out Mitchell.

On to the rest of the game. It was too bad the Pats didn't put together the best game, but it really shows the character when they still win and especially for Bosch after giving up that really bad 3rd goal. Nice to see the team rally around that (of course after giving up on more goal).

I like what this team has to offer. Now if they could only beat the Broncos...haha. If the two teams do meet up in the playoffs, I wouldn't worry. I have full confidence the Pats would win that series. Afterall, SC hasn't won in regulation since the trades.

I would expect Reich and Teubert to be suspended, Teubert left the bench to go fight Zahn but Rod Peterson didn't see things that way. After Teubert beat Zahn Roddy yells and says what is Zahn doing he lost the fight and he's still trying too through punches. He said it made him sick funny how Roddy didn't mention Teubert leaving the bench to go fight. Man oh man Rod Peterson is the biggest homer ever.

Tuebert didn't leave the bench. He was on the ice. As far as I am concerned, Reich should have received a Gross misconduct. His action before the fight, during the fight, and the behaviour after getting tossed (there was a reason why Mollenken went sprinting from the bench into the corridor) needs to be reviewed by the league.
It is too bad for Tuebert, he did just go in to help the officials (who were not able to handle the situation). He did not throw a punch at Reich, just pulled him off the official. But, that is a game misconduct and his forth of the year.
And who picks the stars at the rink. Gillis?? Please. I thought that Hulak was very good for the Blades and so was Flatters. And for the Pats, I can live with DePape, but what about Watt? I thought he was easily the best and most consistant Pat on the ice last night.

Sunday's game featured a line brawl midway through the second period, and it could lead to suspensions for Molleken and Regina head coach Curtis Hunt. Both teams have already had three multiple-fight situations this season. Under league rules, the head coach is suspended following a fourth infraction.

Saskatoon's John Flatters and Regina's Josh Elder were the first combatants. While they were being escorted to the penalty boxes, the Blades' Mike Reich hooked up with Garrett Mitchell. Molleken said that Pats defenceman Colten Teubert "left the bench" to get involved and that led to a scrap between Teubert and Teigan Zahn.

"To me, there should be no multiple-fight situation, simply because Teubert leaves the bench and that starts it," said Molleken.

The Blades were fined $500 for a Jan. 18 line brawl -- their third of the season -- versus Brandon. A Dec. 30 incident in Regina cost Saskatoon $250.

Hmm judging by Lorns coments i would say Teubert deserves a suspention, and i was listening too Les and he said Teubert went into fight Zahn as well.Lorne sprinted too the coridore so he could prevent Reich from going into the Pats dressing room.

Tuebert was only involved because Reich started the Multiple fight situation.

Heck, I don't even think he left the bench. But that is beside the point.

I think Mollenken needs to look at the tape again, Tuebert was on the ice when the 1st fight broke out (between Elder and Flatters) as that fight took place, Reich and Mitchell went at it (Mitchell wouldnt stop beeking at Reich after Reich fought Hill, Mitchell wanted a piece of Reich) Once Reich got Mitchell's jersey over his head and continued to feed him shots the ref jumped in to get them to stop (as a real fighter would not a bum like Reich) Tuebert ON THE ICE watching the fights (as the refs tell the players to go to their benches and get out of the way) comes over to help the ref and grabs Reich. NO MR. MOLLENKEN TUEBERT DIDNT GO IN TO FIGHT ZAHN, ZAHN WAS STILL AT THE BLADES BENCH YOU BUM. (damn i used to have alot of respect for Mollenken but after a stupid comment like that, it makes you wonder if he needs thicker glasses)

Its been awhile since we have seen a nice brew haha like that at the Brandt center. Do I think Reich or Tuebert deserve a suspension, no not really. Ya i hate Reich (never liked him as a pat either) but most young kids throw those extra shots even when refs are in there. We are dealing with kids and when there emotions get the best of them they act out like that. Pat players do it as well happens everywhere (for instance Kennedy in Swift Current saturday night kept feeding McAvoy shots as he was on the ice turtling from being jumped) But Tuebert will get suspended forsure even if they dont suspend him for jumping in and grabbing ahold of Reich, he will get suspended for another game misconduct. (now i dont know how many game misconducts Reich has so he may get suspended for that reason as well) I for 1 will think the WHL will suspend these guys no matter what being that the Blades and Pats play again on Friday night, could just be asking for trouble...


Oh by the way, I think there will be the 2 refs for Fridays game lmao
