Since The Trade
The Broncos have made alot of noise since the trade deadline and are now the hottest team in the East but are also the second hottest team in the conference behind Calgary going 8-2 in their last 10. Since the trade deadline with the pickup of Stamler and Dudas we have moved from 8th in the conference to 6th, two points out of 4th and in the East conference we are now 2 points out of 2nd. Our goals for per game is now 4.00 and our goals against is 2.40 per game.
Stamler, 6'1" 203lbs. and Dudas, 6'1" 228lbs. have both added that element we seemed to be missing on the backend. Toughness and able to clear opposing players from in front of the net. Both these guys have added to the team and our team seems to be playing alot better. Both players are vets who add leadership to our younger guys. It freed up Felde and McAvoy to move back up front and add more offence to an already potent forward line. Now Dean has four capable lines up there who can play in any situation and keep the lines fresh.
The addition of Mark Guggenberger hasen't hurt either. In the 3 games he has played he has has faced 85 shots, let in 3 goals for a G.A.A. of 1 and in those 3 games he has 2 shut outs.
All three players had added to our depth for this season and have all been welcome additions. The boys are playing with alot of confidence right now and i hope it remains. The fans are coming out now and the rink has been a buzz. Now all we need is our hamburgers and fries to help make the game more enjoyable.
