These are actually my rankings and not ISS rankings. Thought I would clarify that.

Thanks for clarifying that Whl Crazy. I wasn't sure so i never deleted it. Its was just a reminder to all posters concerning copy right laws as we have not mentioned it for a while.

Interesting to see 2 US players in the top 5...maybe the NHL expansion is finally helping to develop grassroots hockey in the Southern States.

Are any of these 20 prospects related (younger brothers or cousins) to current WHL players? I see a few familiar last names.

#17 rated Hunter Shinkaruk is the 2-year old in this 1997 picture:

If he stays rated that high through this time next year, he could be a first-round bantam pick which would certainly give him a shot at being one of the big boys in a pre-game WHL scrum sometime.

I remember watching a Rangers game years ago and Ulfs son was playing in the the Tim Bits intermission thing. This kid was out of control. He ran every little kid in sight. Couldnt care less about the puck. Maybe the funniest thing I ever saw. Dad was beaming.

There's at least two Samuelsson boys....Henrik has an older brother Phillip who was a 10th round pick of the Edmonton Oil Kings in last year's bantam draft.

Phillip's a '91 so he could have played in the WHL this year but didn't. I believe I read somewhere though that the Oil Kings expect him in their camp this fall with a chance to make next year's team as a 17 year old.

What about Colton Plante? Is he related to Alex Plante?
They say you aren't a coach in this league until you've been fired. I must be getting pretty good.
