    Default Ice reduce roster to 22 players

    ICE REDUCE ROSTER TO 22 PLAYERS Tue Sep 30th, 2008

    Cranbrook, BC -- Jeff Chynoweth, General Manager of the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club, today announced the club has reduced their roster to 22 players.

    Of the four players released one was a defenceman and three were forwards.

    Kris Foucault 17 Calgary, AB Left Wing
    Joey Leach 16 Wadena, SK Defense
    Jordan Bauer 17 Edmonton, AB Right Wing
    Ales Frieb 19 Olomouc, CZR Left Wing

    As a result of today’s transactions, the ICE have two goaltenders, seven defencemen and 13 forwards. Of those, 13 are WHL veterans and three (Andrew Bailey, Ian Barteaux and Eric Frere) are overage players.

    The next home action for the ICE will be Saturday against the Swift Current Broncos at 7:00 pm and Sunday against the Kelowna Rockets at 6:00 pm. Tickets are available starting tomorrow at the Kootenay ICE Office and Kootenay Collectibles.

    Kris Focault is now playing for the Canmore Eagles on the AJHL and has fit well into their lineup.

    I'm very happy to hear this! I was sad when Kris was reasigned
