No worries. I don't think I am a bad fan for cheering for the Canes for 13 friggin years. We all know there have been some really lean times.Originally Posted by O&C
Good for you for sticking it out. I hope you're rewarded at some point.
but,... it isn't out of the ordinary to cheer for a city that you don't live in. Hell, I've been following and cheering the Penguins for 25 years.
When this series is over you won't see me commenting on anymore Hurricane threads.
"I promise that we will put an exciting fast paced product on the ice each and every game and bring back the winning tradition to Lethbridge." Berehowsky

""We need it (the powerplay) to give us more and the guys on it to give us more, not only five-on-four, but five-on-five.”
No kidding. Our best players were not even close to being our best players last night. Tonight will tell the tale of this years Hurricanes. Win or lose, if the effort is not a lot better then, this seson is over and the underachievers can go to thier AHL teams and collect the paychecks they all seem anxious to get.
An opinion should be the result of thought, not a substitute for it.
It must be hard to motivate yourself to sacrifice and do what you have to in the playoffs to win when you don't have a bonified goaltender. To overcome an MVP (Holtby) goaltender when you have an inexperienced youngster backing you up . . . must be a little demoralizing.
Cultivating goaltenders should be something that is part of management plans . . . I'm not sure we are doing a good job on that front. A specialist like Jeff Battah would have helped a lot in avoiding this mess . . . unfortunately, he obviously did not feel appreciated and went elsewhere.
Wonder why Jung didn't want to play for Lethbridge, or Leclerc?
While we are on the topic, I wonder how "appreciated" the players feel like? Is the atmosphere conducive to a "winning" team? Are they ready to sacrifice? Do they have the confidence? We know they have the talent!
If Metsola gets back and is able to play well we have a chance . . .if the players really want it. If not, you will see a very talented team go out, probably in 4.
BEACH- Was his 5 minute major a cross check to the head or what? anyone have a video of it or know where i can find one? is the guy he cross checked injured? will beach be in the lineup for game 2 tonight or will he be facing a suspension?

It wasn't even worthy of a penalty let alone a suspension.
The league once again shows how stupid it is and that they don't judge people based on what actually happened but instead on what the name is on the back of their jersey.
Suspended in game 1 of the playoffs ... "that's is absolute crap, that is garbage"
When will Beach learn to play a team game an stop being so selfish? Thank goodness we didn't trade for him....
Never argue with idiots, they just drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.
