    Given the road wins over the Ams and Blazers, how long before the Winterhawks are considerd contenders for the Western Conference Title?

    The Hawks play 12 games between now and Oct 31. Nine of those games are on the road.

    It's to early to determine how their season will fair out. That Eastern road swing will probably tell you how they will finish the year

    congrats to the Winterhawks turning their team around.. getting rid of those awful owners and even worse management has made this a competitive viable franchise again and I say hooray ... the faithful in Portland deserve to watch competitive hockey .. those fans as just too good and the franchise longevity so long that its great to see them back in the mix again.
