EASTERN CONFERENCE PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS-1ST ROUND

Hey WHL Buffs! How's about a bit of fun with predictions on the 1st round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

Calgary over MooseJaw in 4 or 5 games
(Despite the season series being 2-2, Calgary is on a roll heading into the playoffs. plus they have the best goaltender).

Brandon over Swift Current in 4 or 5 games.
(Brandon won the season series 4-2 and are also on a roll heading into the playoffs. Their high powered offense will be too much for the Broncos to handle and the Broncos do not play on their home ice)

Kootenay over Medicine Hat in likely 7 games. (The season series was 3-3 with both teams winning twice on the road. Goaltending and team defense could be the undoing of the Tigers) If the Tigers won, it would not be considered an upset.

Red Deer over Saskatoon in 6 games. (This is the one series that provides the biggest opportunity for an upset. The Blades are hurting and have been playing rather undisciplined hockey lately. The Rebels can be very physical and play a very frustrating brand of hockey. There is a lot of pressure on the Blades as this was to be "their year".

I wish this would happen, then we'd have home ice advantage for as long as we stayed in the playoffs.....
