    Post Bantam draft lottery

The WHL will hold its annual WHL Bantam Draft lottery Wednesday 17th March at 10:00am at its offices in Calgary.

The non-playoff teams involved are: Prince Albert, Regina, Lethbridge, Edmonton, Prince George and Seattle. It will be a weighted lottery via the final standings in the 2009-10 season as follows:
Prince George will have six balls used.
Edmonton will have five balls used.
Lethbridge will have four balls used.
Seattle will have three balls used.
Regina will have two balls used.
Prince Albert will have one ball used.

A club can move up a maximum of two positions if it wins the lottery, so Prince George, Edmonton and Lethbridge will have the opportunity to have the first pick overall. The highest the Regina Pats can finish is with the 3rd pick overall.

The Western Hockey League Bantam Draft will be on Thursday, April 29th in Edmonton.

I really hope the team will pick a player or players who will want to come to Prince George and it won't be another Stefan Elliot.

They got first pick. Now hopefully something good comes from it.

    Post Possible top 4

    1. Alex Forsberg - SK C, 5'9 155 Beardy's Blackhawks Smaaahl - "tore up Saskatchewan minor hockey much like Brent Benson did a couple years ago"
    2. Madison Bowey - MN RD, 6'0 175 Winnipeg Monarchs, WBAAA - "top defensive prospect to come out of Manitoba since Cam Barker"
    3. Brian Williams - CA RW, 5'9 141 LA Selects, CAHA - "better than Shane McColgan already"
    4. Matt Needham - BC F, 5'9 170 Penticton, Bantam Tier 1 - "has put up huge numbers all through minor hockey and is similar in terms of domination as '93 born Nugent-Hopkins was"

Probably take Forsberg so he can play with his brother

    Default Forsberg

Alex is phenomenal with the puck in the offensive zone. Sees the ice realy well and anticipates the play. Goes to the corners and comes out with the puck.
He was top 5 in points in midget AAA playing as the only 14 year old in the league. The first round picks from last year were at least 20 points behind him.
His weakness at this time is his foot speed and his ability to get back to help out on defense.
I think he is bigger than those stats show. Similar build to Jesse.
