What are everyones thoughts on the Ams getting Aldred? I am optimistic but man, he sure didnt come with much of a price tag. What gives???

What are everyones thoughts on the Ams getting Aldred? I am optimistic but man, he sure didnt come with much of a price tag. What gives???

I believe he worked the point a little for Portland the last year or so, but is mainly a penalty killer (defensive forward) who will play as a 19. I think they are shoring up the penalty kill because both Schnieder and Conners will be 20 this year.
From my contacts in Portland, they are pretty miffed with this trade. They feel Aldred is a solid two way player and a good team guy. It appears he just got caught in a numbers game. They had three other 19-year-old centers.
For the price of dropping one round in the bantam draft it is a hell of a pickup.
