If Komistek has been released, who else do they have?

This is what Alan C posted on the JHJ site regarding the goalies, it was during this thread that I first read Komistek was released and I read it again somewhere else.

As far as the system goes, we have three goalies who could/should be battling for the backup job next year. Whether any of them are good enough or ready enough, I don't know. They are Chase Komistek (18 next year), Michael Matyas (18 next year), and Brodie Burdeny (16 next year).
You can read his entire post right here.

Hopefully Alan comes on and can shed some light on the situation. If not, maybe I will fire him off an email.

Ok, cool. I've heard of Michael Matyas, played for the Okotoks Oilers. I think he did fairly well with them.

I agree, the blue line should be the strength of the Hitmen next year. They are going to have to be good along with Snider because goals might be tough to come by.

As for the goalies, after chatting with Alan about it, he named these 3 kids for the potential backup to Snider:

16 year old Brodie Burdeny (2009 4th round pick), and two free agent listings - Michael Matyas (18, played for Jr A Okotoks Oilers last year) and Matt Hrynkiw (18, was the starter for the AAA midget Saskatoon Contacts last year).
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Are Matyas and Hrynkiw listed with the Hitmen, or just free agents throughout the league?

I'm assuming they are listed as Alan called them free agent listings.

He also noted that the Hitmen signed 18 year old American Trevor Cheek. Cheek had 60 points in 48 games with his AAA midget team according to Alan.

Ok. Hrynkiw doesnt look too bad either, it'll be interesting to see how it works out.

Just a heads up. Alan C has done his 2010-11 Hitmen Prospect breakdown, as usual he has done a great job.
