pro camps

Anyone know of any kids going to pro or rookie camps this summer? I am always amazed at how little the Canes promote this stuff in the off season. It would be great to know where they are at, as well as see updates on alumni in all the pro and university leagues promoted and detailed on the Canes site. I am aware of hockeydb for stats and such, but it would be great to see that info on our home site.

I read on Gregg Drinann's site that Brody Sutter was headed to Buffalo's camp and that Mitch Versteeg was going to Chicago's. Its a very informative site, http://gdrinnan.blogspot.com/ And heres what he said.

WHLers joining Beach in Chicago’s camp are F Sena Acolatse (Chicago), F Bretton Cameron (Medicine Hat), F Byron Froese (Everett), D Ryan Stanton (Moose Jaw), G Mac Carruth (Portland) and G Kent Simpson (Everett). . . . In camp as a free agent is D Mitch Versteeg, 21, the younger brother of former WHL F Kris Versteeg. Mitch played with the Lethbridge Hurricanes (2006-08). . . . Chicago’s camp runs through Monday at Johnny’s IceHouse West.

The Buffalo Sabres’ summer development camp opens Monday at Dwyer Arena, which is on the campus of Niagara University in Lewiston, N.Y. Included on the 42-player camp roster are F Riley Boychuk (Portland), F Kevin Sundher (Chilliwack), F Brody Sutter (Lethbridge), D Corey Fienhage (Kamloops), D Matt Mackenzie (Calgary), D Brayden McNabb (Kootenay) and D Mark Pysyk (Edmonton). . . . Pysyk (23rd), Sundher (75th), MacKenzie (83rd) and Boychuk (208th) were selected in the 2010 NHL draft. . . . Fienhage and McNabb were taken in the 2009 draft. . . . Sutter is a free agent. . . . Also there will be F Tyler Ennis, the Medicine Hat product who split last season beween the Sabres and the AHL’s Rochester Americans. He was the 26th overall pick in the 2008 NHL draft.
