    Default Ryan Nugent Hopkins

Ryan has made the under 18 team don't think there was any doubt that he would make the team. The biggest surprise to me were the players left off the team St. Crois, Rattie, and McNeal these are pretty good players. Maybe Beach was right about the Ontario bias. Here are the Advocate and TSN articles.

That is great that he made the team. Hopefully he will have a great tournament and put up lots of points. I think the bias is right as he was chosen as the only forward to make the team and there were some great forwards in camp. From the sounds of the TSN piece he has put on some weight. I believe he was listed at 150 last year and he is now listed at 166.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins got a hat trick today and now has 4 goals and one assist in 2 games today as Canada beat Switzerland 7-3 http://www.albertalocalnews.com/redd...100358064.html

Great play by RNH, he has the first goal in both games so far, and today potted two more in the second. Keep it up~!

Team Canada wins Ivan Hlinka tourny today and RNH scores only goal in the final. Great, tourny, can't wait to see him at camp this year.

Congrats on the Gold RNH!! Great tourny for a great player who lead Canada in goals (5) & points (7-co-leader). Should be a great year for the Rebels with this stud leading them. Should be an interesting series with the Hitmen this year which could go either way and make out trips up to Red Deer much more exciting.
Couple of questions is will Hopkins get an invite to the December camp (especially if Canada loses too many players to NHL) ? It's a possibility for an invite although making the team might be next year country. Definatly will be there when Alberta host the WJC. Also will this be RNH last year in WHL? Depends on who drafts him the NHL next year might not be out of the question. Hopefully he will be back even if he will be a thorn in the a## for the Hitmen, it's always nice to watch talent, regardless of the uniform.

He had a great tourney. It was good to see that. He really shot up the draft rankings. He is now at the NHL Research and Developement Camp. This is a camp to show off some of the potential rule changes. Also they are using some of the draft eligable prospects in it. According to Darren Dreger he is the best looking prospect at this camp. The scout really like his speed.
