    Default Recap of Scrimmage #2

From Nick Paterson who is live blogging at: http://www.heraldnet.com/section/BLOG12

Goalie Andy Desautels is also already signed (to a WHL education contract). He's playing the first period for the GREY team. Sean Healy starts out in net for GREEN.

Tristan Keck scores on the rebound to give GREY an early 1-0 lead.

Someone just scored for GREEN, and I missed it. C.J. Stucky assures me it was Zachary Walden. Tied at 1-1

GREY scores on a nice play in transition, Ben Smith finishing of on the one-timer. GREY leads 2-1.

Keck scores on another rebound, making it 3-1 GREY.

The players are coming out to warm up for the second half now.

It appears that Troy Turpin is heading into goal for GREEN.

I think Desautels is staying in goal for GREY.

GREEN with some good chances, but can't find the finish.

GREEN's Ben Butcher cherry picks, then holds off a defender before scoring. GREY's lead cut to 3-2.

Another penalty on GREEN. Boehm again with the shot. This time he shoots high.

Kyle Messervey with a big hit into the boards.

Keck with the chance for the hat trick after a steal, but he can't convert.

GREEN's Messervey backhands a shot that finds the top corner, tying it up at 3-3.

GREY's Nick Bower unloads on the open-ice hit.

Boyd gets tripped, so GREEN's got a penalty shot.
And Boyd scores 5-hole. GREEN takes a 4-3 lead.

GREEN's scored again, it was Michael McNicholas and Messervey on the combination, but I'm not sure which one put the puck in the net. GREEN 5-3.

It's turning into a shooting gallery on Desautels, and he's making some scrambling saves.

Boyd saved on the odd-man rush.

39 seconds left. GREY's going to need a miracle.

GREY had a chance, but Turpin sprawls to make the point-blank save, and the game is over. GREEN scores all four goals in the second half to win 5-3.

GREEN really controlled play in the second half. The line of Jordyn Boyd, Michael McNicholas and Kyle Messervey was particularly difficult to handle.
