Day two begins. Taken from Nick PAtterson's LiveBlog at http://www.heraldnet.com/section/BLOG12

There's been one change in the veteran group today. Jordyn Boyd is skating with the vets today, while Jari Erricson will participate in the rookie scrimmages.

Here's a reminder of the rosters:

GREY

Forwards: Carson Stadnyk (15), Cole Carson (16), Brett Boehm (16), Joel Gellvear (15), Joel Blaquiere (15), Ben Smith (15), Nick Landry (15), Tristan Keck (15), Daken Lidder (15), Alec Wilkinson (15).

BLUE
Defensemen: Tye Hand (15), Austin Adam (15), Quinn Ripley (15), Zachary Landon (15), Keegan Lee (16).

Forwards: Bradley King (15), Michael Fretz (16), Geordie Maguire (15), Kohl Bauml (16), Ryan McDonald (16), Matt Cox (15), Evan Cox (15), Connor Osbaldiston (15), Matthew Scarth (17), JJ Huerena (15).

It looks like Alec Rounds might be getting the long day today. He's the only goalie down at GREY's end. That would make sense if they're alternating the heavy work between Desautels and Rounds, who are considered candidates for the backup job this season.

Desautels is getting the start in goal for BLUE. These are different teams from yesterday for the goalies.

And the puck is dropped.

GREY scores first. Carson Stadnyk banks a shot under Desautels from behind the goal line. 1-0.

BLUE ties it up Geordie Maguire cleans up a mess in front of goal to make it 1-1.

Penalty on BLUE, penalty shot for GREY's Nick Bower is saved by Desautels.

Good persistence by Ryan McDonald results in a goal giving BLUE a 2-1 lead.

I didn't see it happen, but GREY's Joel Blaquiere scored to tie it at 2-2.

Good save on the two-on-one by Desautels.

Boehm with the strip down low, then roofs a shot to give GREY a 3-2 lead.

GREY makes it 4-2 when Ben Smith scores on the rebound.

Gigantic hit by BLUE's JJ Huerena.

Maguire snipes the corner to pull BLUE back within one at 4-3.

BLUE's Michael Fretz scores with 12 seconds remaining, and we head to halftime tied 4-4.

OK, second half is about to begin. Rounds stays in goal for GREY. Jesse Jenks takes over in net for BLUE.

Jenks with a solid start with some good saves.

Fretz gets his second of the game to give BLUE a 5-4 lead, after a turnover down low creates a 3-on-1.

GREY ties it as d-man Andrew Weich is on the doorstep to turn in a pass. It's 5-5.

Look down for a moment and the puck's in the net. Kohl Bauml scored for BLUE while I was typing to make it 6-5.

Hat trick for Geordie Maguire as he wrists a shot 5-hole, giving BLUE a 7-5 lead.

BLUE scores again, Bradley King on the rebound, to make it 8-5.

Bauml skates in and beats Rounds to the near post, BLUE leads 9-5.

And it's a fight. BLUE's JJ Huerena and GREY's Daken Lidder. Big size advantage for Lidder in that one, but Huerena's the guy who's been laying out the hits. Pretty quick fight and no real damage.

Boehm scores on the wrister for GREY. 9-6 BLUE.

Penalty shot BLUE. Tye Hand is saved, but Fretz scores on the rebound for his hat trick. 10-6.

Michael Fretz is a Seattle Junior player, and his family is sitting right next to me, so they're pretty excited.

One last BLUE penalty shot at the final buzzer, but Bauml is stopped, preventing a third BLUE hat trick. It ends 10-6.

Goal scoring summary:
BLUE: Maguire 3, Fretz 3, Bauml 2, McDonald, King.
GREY: Boehm 2, Stadnyk, Blaquiere, Smith, Weich.
