Post G Chase Martin, 18, added to roster

    By Gregg Drinnan

One day after giving up eight goals and losing 8-7 in overtime to the host Edmonton Oil Kings, the Cougars have added a goaltender to their roster. Chase Martin, 18, from Medicine Hat, is scheduled to practice with the Cougars today. Martin was a fifth-round pick by the Spokane Chiefs in the 2007 WHL entry draft. He played last season with the AJHL’s Calgary Canucks, going 9-8-2, 3.33,.896 in 23 games, (and during the pre-season was in the running for a backup goaltender position with the Rockets). Martin joins James Priestner, 19, and Tyler Santos, 16, as the goaltenders on the Cougars’ roster.

G Chase Martin, 18, has moved from the Prince George Cougars to the BCHL’s Salmon Arm Silverbacks. Martin joined Prince George a couple of weeks ago to backup James Priestner, 19. That role now belongs to Ty Rimmer, 18, who was acquired from the Brandon Wheat Kings.

    Question Morgan Clark

Anyone know what happened to Clark? He was traded from Swift Current to Prince George and obviously has been let go. WHL has no transaction posted regarding a trade?
