Good news for the WHL as a whole IMO. Should put more butts in seats to see the high flying Hawks.

    Look out Western Conference.

It is nice to see the Portlands/Prince George/Seattle all come out of the basement of the conference.

Too funny Rocko, there is no reason not to keep him there and actually use him. Thats how you get experience.

Reading some of the opinions of Islanders fans on HFBoards, and they were actually in favour of him going back down to develop Now I admit I didn't pay much attention to him while he was up with them, but looking at his stats on NHL.com, an average of 13 minutes isn't bad. Granted, only 2 points in 9 games, but who are you going to replace him with that can do a better job??

No doubt that it all came down to $$$. I'm sure if the Isles need to make it to the salary-cap floor next season, he'll stick with them.

They would rather see him develop his skilled attributes. No doubt he could have stayed on as a 3rd or 4th liner, but there is nothing wrong with wanting him to come down to the WHL, develop his offensive game more where he will have a better chance at becoming a higher end offensive player than topping out as a 3rd liner.
