The Hitmen and Oil Kings hooked up for a home and home series on Tuesday and Wednesday this past week. The result was each team winning at home.

On Tuesday in the Saddledome, the Hitmen got a huge game from forward Jimmy Bubnick. Bubnick had 2 goals and an assist to the lead the Hitmen to a 3-2 win. Michael Snider got the start in goal was made a couple of great save, especially in the 3rd period when the Hitmen were holding on to a lead.

3. CAL Bubnick, (9) (Wilson, Snider), 11:32
3. EDM St. Croix, (12) (Reinhart, Lazowski), 17:08 (PP)

On Wednesday in Edmonton, the Oil Kings jumped out to a 2-0 lead just a 1:35 into the game but the Hitmen fought all the way back and actually took the lead early in the third period only to give up 2 goals to the Oil Kings. It was very frustrating as the Edmonton game winning goal was scored after a great pick play by the Oil Kings while on the power play. Brandon Glover played in goal for the Hitmen and although he was good, the Hitmen really need their goalies to be great.
